What is the difference between membership and subscription? |
Membership is access to the features of the web site. Subscriptions are simply forecast notifications. |
In some of your Descriptions you have OPTIMIZED, why is that? |
In some cases, I used a wheel generator program to generate the wheel. The program has an option to "Optimize" when generating the wheel, this tries to reduce the number of tickets used as much as possible. When you select "Optimize" as an option it takes longer to generate the wheel. Generally for the same wheel optimized vs not optimized is a matter of a few more tickets for the non optimized wheel - while both will provide essentially the same coverage. In some cases, "Optimize" has no effect on the number of tickets - it can't be reduced. |
What is the difference between the Random numbers and the Forecast numbers? |
Forecast numbers are my program's predictions. Random numbers are generated using a random number generator. I added the random numbers as a "Control", to see how good my predictions are for a given lottery - look at the number of Forecasted VS Random Jackpots. |
How do I decide which numbers to play? |
First you have to determine how many games you are going to play. Once you know that, review the wheels forecasted for the desired lottery and find a wheel that uses that number of games - if there are several choices see how each wheel has preformed in the past and choose one.
You could also play two or more wheels that combined provide the desired number of games. |
How close to the actual draws are your forecasts placed online? |
Usually the forecasts for the next drawing are available within 4 hours of the drawing results being available on-line. |
On your forecasts where there is a powerball, I don't really see a forecast for the powerball itself. I thought it might be the red numbers shown, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as they go beyond the number of powerball numbers. |
Not really a question but - the short answer is that I don't forecast numbers drawn from a seperate pool. |
I see a place for members to login, but I really haven't seen how to obtain membership yet? |
Currently, new memberships are suspended (so there is no place to become a new member) I will be opening up membership again in the near future. |
Can we download your history file for FLA/Fantasy? |
Not really, I didn't write that into the site - although I am considering adding it now, even so it will be low on the priority list. In the meantime you can send me a request via email, and I will dump it to a csv and email it to you. |
I can't find my favorite lottery here, will you add it for me? |
The following requirements must be met, in order for your lottery to be included here:
Your lottery must:
Be drawn less than twice each day
Have drawing results posted on line in a text format, if not you may volunteer to update the information after each drawing.

How do you determine a jackpot win? In the MO Show Me 5 you have had two wins in the last three months. Does this include results from all the wheels listed? |
The short answer is YES, but read on for details. If for any drawing, one or more wheels has one or more 5/5 winner - I count that as one jackpot picked. If I had picked 10 5/5 winners for a single drawing - that counts as one jackpot picked. Off the top of my head, I believe that there has only been one occasion where I had more than one jackpot winner for a given drawing but I don't really look for that.
As a side note, on yesterday's (8/17/07) mid day MO Show Me 5 (the one I had a jackpot pick in) - I had a very strong feeling it was time to play, so I chose to play a $24 wheel and won $756 - if instead I had played a $22 wheel I would have hit for $50,000. Only 1 wheel had a 5/5, but many wheels had a 4/5 which pays $750 if there's no one who picked 5/5. I didn't win the jackpot, but I have to go to the lottery office to collect my prize.
As of this point I have picked the MO Show Me 5 jackpot 9 times in about 2 1/2 years (I play this lottery so I have been following it the longest). |

I really like the site and would love to know how you weight your numbers as I do the same thing. Many of our numbers are similar so I am guessing you heavily weight skips as do I. |
Interesting question - Weights used will vary, depending on the history data, analysis performed so far - each lottery is completely seperate from the others, one may have skips weighted more heavily than hot numbers, while another lottery could have the reverse be true. I have an optimizing program that attempts to find the best set of parameters for each analysis (skips for example) in relation to the others (hot, cold, etc ...). I use the best set of paramters found so far for generation of each forecast, and continue trying to find a better combination of parameters. Some of the details about weighting can be found in the Simulate Data, but you will probably not understand it (I will answer secific detailed questions via email).
Once I have things where I want programatically, I will work on a document that attempts to clearly explain everything. |
I would like to send you a wheel system, what format would you like me to use? |
I would like a CSV file, one ticket per line.
To submit your wheel Click here. |
When will your program be available for download? |
I will make it available for download once I have completed the final testing. At this rate, who knows ... |
Why do your pages load so slowly? |
There are two reasons - 1) Hardware - the server is a Pentium II / 300 Mhz CPU with 256 MB RAM (It's actually an older broken laptop. 2) Software - the database containing all of the history for each lottery, forecasts, and ticket information make up an incredible number of records and tables which are queried during the loading of the pages. |
I would like to send you the historical data for my lottery, what format would you like me to use? |
I would like a CSV file, one drawing per line, formated as follows:
MM-DD-YYYY, N1, N2, N3, N4, ... |
How should I interpret your forecast? |
My forecast will always show all of the available numbers for a given lottery. The forecast is actually a ranked list of the numbers - the numbers are listed in the order that my program thinks they are likely to be drawn. |
